Lately
So I've realized I've started this blog about a year ago. I'm going to put the years worth of outfits up sometime soon! So please enjoy this outfit while you wait!
I've been wearing corduroys a lot lately and I love them for the fall because they're so warm and they're a nice change from jeans. I love all the colors and I'm slowly building my collection!
Have fun and good luck in your fashion adventures!

All That Glitters Is Not Always Gold
So I was searching very hard for this nail polish and I finally found it! It is the Rainbow in the S-Kylie glitter nail polish from the new Kardashian Kolor by Nicole by OPI. I love it because you can put virtually any color polish as a base coat (including clear) and it looks awesome! I used the Essie Pink Diamond as my base. Now in these pictures it is chipping a bit on the top so I'm going to give some advice now that I've done it. So this glitter nail polish stays on until you want it off! Which has two sides to it, yes it stays on long, but it can be difficult when you want to remove it. I used cotton swabs and remover and the cotton would just stick in the glitter on my nail. I got it off eventually, but if anybody finds a better way tell me! Also I stupidly only put on one coat of the pink so by about 4 days later, it was only pink where there was glitter on top of it. Other than that it was great and a lot of people commented on it!
Oh and one bit of thrifty advice. If you have an Ocean State Job Lot near you, don't buy Essie nail polish in the normal stores you would get it. I find tons of colors at Ocean State for about 50-60% less than other stores. But sometimes they just have a bunch of a few colors, so I would check ocean state first, then if they don't have your color spring for it!
This would also be an awesome idea for prom! My friend did it and it looked amazing!

Prom 2012 Part 3
Okay, the final part of the prom blogging this year is above all, my favorite type of dress: Princess Ball Gowns. I consider myself to be very feminine when it comes to clothes and this type of dress is obviously my favorite for that reason. You look like a princess wearing one. Who wouldn't want that!? So because it is my favorite, I am going to post more than two dresses, give the prices like the others but will not argue which one is better because I honestly could not do that. Almost every A-line ball gown I see is gorgeous to me! Oh do I dread the day I will have to pick just ONE wedding dress....
PRINCESS GOWNS
Beaded Sweetheart Tulle A-line Prom Dress $149.99
This and many other dresses like this generally have websites that are very accommodating. This dress comes in 28 colors! Especially if you order online, you can have it sized custom to your body measurements including the length! But be careful, some websites will do all this customization for a fair price, but they will almost always get the rest of your money you saved on the dress, in shipping the dress to you!
A-Line Sweetheart Royal Blue Prom Dress $245
40 colors!
Jeweled Sweetheart Organza A-line Prom Dress with Bow Sash $129.99
Now this gives the Cinderella feel without all the puffiness if you're worried about standing out too much!
A-Line Sweetheart Basque Waist Pleated Long Satin Prom Dresses $275
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS DRESS!!!!!
Blue Sweetheart A-line Taffeta Prom Dress $240.00
This picture does NOT do this dress justice! Please click the link to get a better look!
Well that ends this year's prom dress review! Can't wait to review next year's! Who knows, maybe I'll be reviewing what you wore!

Prom 2012 Part 1
I've always loved looking at all the beautiful prom dresses this time of year. Which is what I did on Facebook almost all day yesterday as people posted new albums! Since I wasn't asked to prom this year, I've decided to go ahead and post about the most popular styles this year, my thoughts on them, my personal favorites, and a cheap and more expensive version of each perhaps! Along with these, I will post the most affordable sites I've found this season! And to not make this a really long post I'm going to combine a couple of the styles I've seen together within one dress.
OMBRE, ONE SHOULDER, SIDE SLIT
Allure dress "Night Moves" $298

Ombre Glitter Side Slit by DebShops $145

I really like both of these dresses in these colors but they both come in different colors for different tastes. I believe the top one is absolutely stunning with the draping on the sides and the embellishment, but for over 150 DOLLARS LESS you can get a very similar dress which I think is also very beautiful. I'm not a big fan of the side slit but because has the unexpected dark purple underneath the slit it looks awesome. The one shoulder strap look I also tend not to like but since the first dress does it with beading and embellishment, it becomes very feminine and I like it alot more than just a fabric one shoulder.
HIGH LOW
Flirt Strapless High Low Dress $498

So I like the high low hem we've seen in spring fashion lately, but for prom dresses I didn;t really see much I was wowed by. Until I saw these, that is. I love the colors of both of these and Ido like going over the top with my dresses which explains the first choice of frills and ruffles everywhere! But I think I like the Macy's dress better. It says look at me with the hem so I feel like maybe you don't have to be very much more over the top with the design and dress material, color etc. And considering it's about 460 dollars less it would be my choice anyway! This is Pretty Affordable Fashion isnt it?!
SHORT, Two Tone Tulle, Multi Color Embellishment
Sherri Hill Multi Tulle Short Dress $450

Two Tone Beaded Satin Tulip Dress $56
http://www.debshops.com/two-tone-beaded-satin-tulip-dress/1000026947,default,pd.html?q=short%20dresses&pmin=70&pmax=80
I actually like A lot of these short prom dresses because they are very feminine, poofy, frilly, and colorful (right up my alley)! Unfortunately, these dresses look like prom dresses, which means I could not wear them anywhere else, otherwise I would buy them for another occasion because I must wear a full length gown to my next prom no ifs ands or buts! I like the two tone tulle look because its just as cool looking as it is to say! And i love the rainbow of beading on the black material of the first dress its so cool and edgy looking! Also if you are on a budget, the short dresses are perfect becaus ethey cost considerably less just because of the less material. So you can make a statement and save money! Perfect Combo!

Flowers and Bows, All A Girl Ever Needs
Hey Everyone!
So, I am so surprised I was able to find the time this weekend to post so I'm doing it as quick as I can before something comes up like usual!
So I've been doing the casual thing lately with my clothes, mostly because I've been accidentally getting out of bed later than intended and tights are hard work to get on in a hurry! I have on just a simple pair of jeans, converse, a blouse and a cardigan. I wore this to school the other day, which ended up being a good option considering there was a big snow storm by the time the final bell had rung :( I think I might've jinxed all of Massachusetts in my last post bragging about the weather.
Anyway, I really love this outfit because it's comfy and they just go together really well in my mind. Also, if you haven't noticed from my other posts, I'm kind of obsessed with navy blue. Navy blue cardigans, dresses, blazers, even my converse. My jeans are even a close match to navy blue wash.
So my inner beauty advice today is:(look in the next post for quote explanation;stupid formatting problems...)
Beauty is not real. Beauty only exists in perception

My Hearts All Aflutter
Okay so I haven't been able to blog with all my school stuff lately. I was able to take pictures but not take the time to make a blog post of them! So the weather's been kicking up here. 50 degrees in February? IN NEW ENGLAND?! It sure is rarely heard of around here but its been great so far! I've been able to wear alot more dresses than I was able to last year simply because when I wake up in the morning and it looks cold outside, I don't really feel like throwing on a dress!
So this is a more casual look but the sweater just makes it look like you're at least trying! I love the way this sweater fits me and these jeans are a great length and wash. They used to fit everywhere great but then I lost some weight so I need to work my jean magic to shrink them around but not lengthwise. (Which may be impossible sadly!)
So I wanted my inner beauty advice today to be:
Don't let the number on that tag, keep you from buying something or wearing the wrong size. Because (to refer to special K commercials) You're size sassy, radiant, CONFIDENT!
Whatever it may be, let your personality show, NOT your size! Because in my mind and the minds of many others, if your clothes have the best fit for your body, you instantly feel confident, and people WILL take notice. So don't squeeze into a small when you are a beautiful, vivacious, large. OWN IT! As long as you are healthy and aren't risking your own health and safety with your way of life and eating, by all means show off what you've got.
Again comment with any questions, suggestions, anything! It's the only way I can give you give you guys exactly what you want!
Good luck with your fashion adventures and see you soon!
