Last Sweater Before Summer

So I was cleaning my albums on the computer out and found these outfit pictures that I never posted! This was about a month ago and I'm pretty it was and will be the last time I wear a sweater before Fall comes around. It's too bad because the shorts are very nice in the summer because they are light weight and they go perfectly with the sweater for the whole nautical look, but it's just too hot to wear! I love this outfit and I wear it alot in the spring because it gives that retro vibe to it with the high waist shorts. I tend to wear red white and blue a lot, and in fact, the bathing suit I ordered for this year makes me look like an American Flag (pics to come! 4th of July maybe!?).
Anyway, I'll be on the hunt this summer for a short sleeve version of the red and white stripes to wear with my shorts! Sorry there is only one full outfit picture the rest were all blurry!

Prom 2012 Part 3

Okay, the final part of the prom blogging this year is above all, my favorite type of dress: Princess Ball Gowns. I consider myself to be very feminine when it comes to clothes and this type of dress is obviously my favorite for that reason. You look like a princess wearing one. Who wouldn't want that!? So because it is my favorite, I am going to post more than two dresses, give the prices like the others but will not argue which one is better because I honestly could not do that. Almost every A-line ball gown I see is gorgeous to me! Oh do I dread the day I will have to pick just ONE wedding dress....
PRINCESS GOWNS
Beaded Sweetheart Tulle A-line Prom Dress $149.99
This and many other dresses like this generally have websites that are very accommodating. This dress comes in 28 colors! Especially if you order online, you can have it sized custom to your body measurements including the length! But be careful, some websites will do all this customization for a fair price, but they will almost always get the rest of your money you saved on the dress, in shipping the dress to you!

A-Line Sweetheart Royal Blue Prom Dress $245
40 colors!

Jeweled Sweetheart Organza A-line Prom Dress with Bow Sash $129.99
Now this gives the Cinderella feel without all the puffiness if you're worried about standing out too much!

A-Line Sweetheart Basque Waist Pleated Long Satin Prom Dresses $275
A-Line Sweetheart Basque Waist Pleated Long Satin Fuchsia Prom Dresses PD0037
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS DRESS!!!!!

Blue Sweetheart A-line Taffeta Prom Dress  $240.00
This picture does NOT do this dress justice! Please click the link to get a better look!

Well that ends this year's prom dress review! Can't wait to review next year's! Who knows, maybe I'll be reviewing what you wore!

Prom 2012 Part 2

Time for Part 2! Let's get started!

DEEP SWEETHEART, FULLY EMBELLISHED BODICE , ASSYMETRICAL
Sweetheart Deep Purple Papaprazzi Prom Dress $450*UPDATE* this dress was taken off the website unfortunately after I made this post. But I can't find a dress that was close enough to compare to it :(

Deep Sky Blue Sweetheart Chiffon Column Prom Dress $148

So I LOVE both of these dresses (sorry about the pic quality of the second one!) I absolutely love sweetheart necklines and usually only buy dresses with sweethearts on them because they are so feminine and fun! But I love the color of both the dresses, along with the beading on the second and the full embellishment on the bodice of the first. The assymetrical chiffon of the second dress is awesome to me because it just makes the dress look more fun! I love both of them but the second dress is 302 DOLLARS LESS!? It's amazing! Either way you will look like a million bucks!

MERMAID
Jovani Jewel Embroidered Long Mermaid Prom Dress $589

Terani 95230P Strapless Mermaid Prom Dress  $298

2012 Jovani Red Mermaid Prom Gown $179

So I DID choose 3 dresses for this one because the intial two I found I felt the second one wasnt as affordable as we would all like so I found another equally as awe-inspring, more affordable option. I like mermaid dresses for prom because there aren't many other occasions a girl gets to dress up this much when theyre constricted to an appropriate for the age dress code. To me, when you're a teenager, you're young and need to get all the crazy, on the edge clothing ideas you have out of your system. So dress a little sexier with this mermaid style and skip it on your wedding for a more mature gown. I've found that a lot of people get mermaid and drop waist confused. In my head, mermaid is very fitted to about 3 to 4 inches above the knee while drop waist is about 9 or 10 inches below your belly button. Between the two, I like the mermaid better, I honestly find the drop waist to not be very flattering on most types. It adds weight on the bottom half, so if you are top heavy it will balance you out and if you have absolutely no curve it will add on the bottom. It is stilll very risky and must make sure it fits absolutely perfect. The mermaid shows off and embraces your curves. (Who wouldn't want that?!) But I love all these dress but they were picked obviously based off prices. But I really can't tell from just the pictures which one is more expensive than the other; they all have different feels and emotions attached to them, they really can't be compared as to which one is better!

Flowers and Bows, All A Girl Ever Needs

Hey Everyone!
So, I am so surprised I was able to find the time this weekend to post so I'm doing it as quick as I can before something comes up like usual!
So I've been doing the casual thing lately with my clothes, mostly because I've been accidentally getting out of bed later than intended and tights are hard work to get on in a hurry! I have on just a simple pair of jeans, converse, a blouse and a cardigan. I wore this to school the other day, which ended up being a good option considering there was a big snow storm by the time the final bell had rung :( I think I might've jinxed all of Massachusetts in my last post bragging about the weather.
Anyway, I really love this outfit because it's comfy and they just go together really well in my mind. Also, if you haven't noticed from my other posts, I'm kind of obsessed with navy blue. Navy blue cardigans, dresses, blazers, even my converse. My jeans are even a close match to navy blue wash.
So my inner beauty advice today is:(look in the next post for quote explanation;stupid formatting problems...)
Beauty is not real. Beauty only exists in perception
(explanation is in above blog post sorry for the inconvenience!)
Cardigan- Gift
Blouse- JC Penney's
Jeans-Delia's
Shoes-Converse/ JCP

**Look at that, I managed to wear an outfit without one single thing from Forever 21..what's going on?**

Boyfriend Blazers and Bow Dresses

SO I am so sorry I haven't posted in so long. I have been incredibly busy with school and then there was the holidays. And once its Thanksgiving, you have no time to rest until New Year's Day with my family! Anyways,  I wore this to school the other day but I added a slightly messy yet pulled together bun with a navy blue headband with a GIGANTIC bow on the top. I love that headband so much I wear it as much as possible. And its a life saver for the days when your bangs don't come out just the way you want them to. Which is frequently when you have curly hair! Well anyways, what my point was, don't be afraid to wear things that are different because of what other people think. I got made fun of with my headband, along with other things I wear (high schoolers can be very cruel). But I don't let it bother me, because what I wore six months ago and was made fun of, is in style now and get twice as many compliments. If you are like me, just stick to what you like and people will copy you. Because you DO have good ideas when it comes to fashion, but others are too insecure to admit and try it themselves. And I do realize that I was ranting a bit, but I feel like as much as this blog is about your appearance, the readers (you guys!) should also receive some inner beauty advice from me. Like don't let what others say affect your personality and interests. That was today's piece of advice.
So if you think of any lessons, important quotes, or food for thought about inner beauty, leave a comment below and I'll talk about it next time! Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures! (Also bear with me, my sister took my pictures and some came out blurry!)
I was also thinking of doing some beauty tutorials so if anyone wants to see something done just leave a comment!
