Empire Records is one of my favorite movies. It has an awesome soundtrack of 90s alternative music that you don't really hear that often anymore, and by the end of the movie, you wish you had a place like these kids have to go. They all work in a record store(another thing you never see anymore sadly) and its just about one day of work and all the support they have for each other, but also what situations cause that support to stop temporarily. Another thing I love is the way they all dress exactly how they want, something I think we have lost in the past decade. If Corey (played by Liv Tyler) wants to wear a plaid mini skirt and combat boots, she's going to wear a plaid mini skirt and combat boots! That's why over the next few posts you'll see not exact replicas of what they all wore that day, but things very similar and what you can buy today. So, if you see an item or style you like, by all means, go out and buy it! We need more people thinking outside the box and finding inspiration to make up for the hollister and american eagle and abercrombie robots we have running around on this earth.

Hepburn
So I haven't been on in a while but I also have not been active on Instagram. I recently had surgery on my leg and will not be able to wear much beyond sweats for a while. So I'll be making sets and posting them from polyvore to here and perhaps on Instagram also. It maybe be a month or so, which sucks, but hopefully I'll be as good as new when it's all over! So in the meantime enjoy my posts from polyvore!
Also for my Instagram followers, do you want me to repost outfits or just stay inactive until I have new stuff for you guys? Tell me in the comments!

Green Hearts And Just the Right Shoes
I was fixing my hair in this picture but I need a front view of the dress so enjoy the smiley face! :)
So for some reason I'm suddenly finding all this time AFTER vacation to post my pictures? Please someone explain this to me! Anyway we had beautiful weather for a couple days, but as any New Englander knows "If you don't like the weather in New England, wait five minutes". In a matter of a day it had become extremely cold and rainy, so I begrudgingly broke out my tights again and created this outfit. I really like it and think it will become added to the regular outfit ideas in my head. I love how the hearts on the dress and the shoes exactly match in color, but they're so small it isn't obviously "matchy matchy".
I also love the fit of this dress and the cool ruffle collar.
I want to talk about the power of shoes. These shoes are one of my all-time favorite pairs in my closet. They are really unique and just had to have them when I saw them in Provincetown this summer. They actually go with a lot because there are a mix of color in them. They are real leather everywhere, a stacked wood heel and SUPER comfy for a four-inch heel(which for me, is the absolute height limit). I love these shoes and when I have them on, the day is always awesome, along with my mood. I feel like certain shoes have the power to make you feel that awesome and, in my opinion, it should happen more often!
So comment on this or any post on this blog about any questions you have or anything else! I love hearing for you!

Boyfriend Blazers and Bow Dresses
SO I am so sorry I haven't posted in so long. I have been incredibly busy with school and then there was the holidays. And once its Thanksgiving, you have no time to rest until New Year's Day with my family! Anyways, I wore this to school the other day but I added a slightly messy yet pulled together bun with a navy blue headband with a GIGANTIC bow on the top. I love that headband so much I wear it as much as possible. And its a life saver for the days when your bangs don't come out just the way you want them to. Which is frequently when you have curly hair! Well anyways, what my point was, don't be afraid to wear things that are different because of what other people think. I got made fun of with my headband, along with other things I wear (high schoolers can be very cruel). But I don't let it bother me, because what I wore six months ago and was made fun of, is in style now and get twice as many compliments. If you are like me, just stick to what you like and people will copy you. Because you DO have good ideas when it comes to fashion, but others are too insecure to admit and try it themselves. And I do realize that I was ranting a bit, but I feel like as much as this blog is about your appearance, the readers (you guys!) should also receive some inner beauty advice from me. Like don't let what others say affect your personality and interests. That was today's piece of advice.
So if you think of any lessons, important quotes, or food for thought about inner beauty, leave a comment below and I'll talk about it next time! Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures! (Also bear with me, my sister took my pictures and some came out blurry!)
I was also thinking of doing some beauty tutorials so if anyone wants to see something done just leave a comment!
