These Shoes Are Made For Rock n Roll
I have always worn converse since I was a little girl. The blue, usually low top, converse that only get switched out when I grew out of the pair I had. I always wore my converse with jeans but I recently found a new pair of shoes that are just as rock n roll but a little more of a twist than the good ol converse. They're black flats with spikes all over and I'm in love. I definitely won't be forgetting my converse but these will definitely have equal wearing time as the old standbys.

Lace, Beads, and Tights
So, first fall outfit of the year, and also a style I will be wearing a lot this fall and winter: tights and shorts. For fall it doesn't matter what thickness tights you wear because it is still kinda warm. For winter I go for the thicker nylon tights or woolish ones.
I love these shorts! I found them at T.J. Maxx and when I first picked them up I was worried they might look a little trashy. But I always say to try everything on and take your time in the dressing room. Just because it fits, does not mean move onto the next thing. Move around in it. Is it comfy? Itchy? Too short? Too long? Are the colors/patterns good? Will you be able to wear it with alot? I spend an hour in a store and about 50 minutes of it in the dressing room, but I love every piece of clothing I buy and it guarantees that I will wear it. It WILL NOT sit in my closet.
So anyway, they fit perfect and were alot longer than I thought they would be so I got them! I have had the shirt for a long time and it is kinda falling apart where the beads were but hey I have had it for about three years and it was about $4 at Marshall's so I'm not complaining.
I also love patterned tights. I have the standard, plain, navy brown and black tights for versatility but I also have brown and black patterned tights. I think they give an outfit that extra something if the pieces are plain. I don't use them that much because I tend to buy things with little patterns on them but I thought it looked good with these pieces. And I don't consider lace a pattern if a dark color on a dark color. I have a purple dress with white lace overlay and that I consider because it is making the statement and the patterned tights are not needed.
So, I cannot wait for fall! Don't be afraid to leave comments, suggestions or questions below or on my instagram: prettyaffordablefashion! Good luck in your fashion adventures!

Beach Blanket Bingo
Hello! So I have been so busy with schoolwork that I haven't been able to watch tv let alone blog. So I'm catching up on things this weekend.
I just love this outfit. I wore it last week, when sadly, it was still warm. All this past week it has been about 50 degrees out in the morning. I love fall, but it just feels weird that last week I was wearing shorts and now all I wear are tights and jeans.
I love this outfit because I love playing with the denim fashion rule. "DO NOT wear more than one piece of denim in the same outfit" is what any person with a little fashion sense will tell you. But I think there is an exception to this rule: two different shades of denim. In this outfit they shorts are so much darker than the shirt's denim color, that I think it is okay.
Also, I just love playing with proportions. Give me a crop top and high waist bottoms and I will be a happy girl! Which is also explains the title of this post. These proportions and cut of the clothes just remind me of something Annette would wear while she is partying with Frankie and friends on the beach at night over her swimsuit.
So this is my last summer outfit of the year :( Good bye summer, and hello beautiful fall colors and layers that I love so much!
So check back often for new outfits and good luck in your fashion adventures!

Brought to You Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue
I"M BACK! Yay! I'm so happy to be back home to my camera and my computer and most importantly, my clothes :D So please enjoy!
Okay so I realize
I am not at a beach, but considering I worked most days and my shifts were
during beach time, I didn't get to spend much time near the ocean. But I
promised a look at my beloved bathing suit so I did it in the backyard. Not the
ideal setting I know, but you get the idea of it.
So I
absolutely love this bathing suit! I really wanted an unique bathing suit this
summer and I love retro things so I figured why not carry that style over into
my swimwear!? This bathing did not come like this, I ordered the top from one
online store and the bottoms from another. Mostly because I didn't like the
pairing of the bottoms to the top on the site. I also feel like if you're self
conscious in a bathing suit, if you get a really unique one, people will be
looking at it for its detail, not YOUR detail, therefore they will not pick
your body apart as much as they would in say a plain black bikini. The retro
design, the button details, the color, and the overall look of this bathing
suit has gotten alot of attention when I wear it, but not in a way that people
were looking at just my body, but instead the clothing. Also I feel like this
bathing suit should be worn confidently because it combines the cardinal rule
in regular fashion, into a bathing suit: define the waist and make yourself an
hourglass shape. The high waist of the bottoms create the hourglass by cutting
in at your smallest part, yet covers more than a regular bikini on the bottom
with the boyshort-like bottoms. The top gives you coverage all around if you
are busty with the high sides, constructed band, and halter straps. Also the
stripes gather towards the bow making the rib cage/ back look slimmer. So
please don't hide in another boring bathing suit if you love this style! Enjoy
the compliments on your great style and your great body ;)
I will be posting regularly again considering school starts
tomorrow! That means a reason to get up and dressed in the morning, meaning
more fashionable outfits! And for anyone wondering yes I will keep the
instagram account active so in case you can't jump on the blog one day
check instagram for a quick Outfit Of The Day pic!
Thanks for being so patient and good luck in your fashion adventures! :)

Let It Be
So today I'm wearing my trusty polka dot skirt. I couldn't tell you how many times I've worn that skirt in the short time since I had bought it. Hey, what can I say, I love my polka dots! Also this skirt I'm pretty sure is supposed to be worn around the hips, but I just slapped on a safety pin in the back and pulled it up around my waist so it created a better shape for my body. I also have on my awesome tee with The Beatles in a 4 tile set up that was their album cover for the last studio album titled Let It Be. I love this t shirt for not only what is on it, but the way it fits and feels. It's a light weight cotton so I don't get hot when I wear during the summer even though it has mid length sleeves. It has black sleeves and a white body so it has a certain illusion to it. It also has the awesome worn-in feeling that makes you want to wear it more and more. My denim jacket, as you can see, did not last long on with the heat!

Please ignore my face, it's a good picture for the outfit and I need to learn how to not talk during these... |

Last Sweater Before Summer
So I was cleaning my albums on the computer out and found these outfit pictures that I never posted! This was about a month ago and I'm pretty it was and will be the last time I wear a sweater before Fall comes around. It's too bad because the shorts are very nice in the summer because they are light weight and they go perfectly with the sweater for the whole nautical look, but it's just too hot to wear! I love this outfit and I wear it alot in the spring because it gives that retro vibe to it with the high waist shorts. I tend to wear red white and blue a lot, and in fact, the bathing suit I ordered for this year makes me look like an American Flag (pics to come! 4th of July maybe!?).
Anyway, I'll be on the hunt this summer for a short sleeve version of the red and white stripes to wear with my shorts! Sorry there is only one full outfit picture the rest were all blurry!
